Join us on Tuesday, July 8 between 5:30-7pm at our new church location (4200 Lake Road, Robbinsdale) for an open house. Leaders from Robbinsdale Parkway UCC will be on hand to greet and serve a light supper, while we give tours of the building. Kids classrooms and the Sanctuary will also be open, providing a great opportunity for all Genesis folks to get a sense of what to expect at our new church home!
Join us for our first worship service at our new location and at the new time, Sunday, July 13 at 10:45am. We'll start promptly at 10:45 in the sanctuary and following worship will head down to the Fellowship Hall for post-church treats.
We're leaning into a new, intentional rhythm of taking the 5th Sunday as a day to explore Sabbath or Service instead of gathering for a typical worship service. Our next 5th Sunday is June 29 and we are inviting the congregation to practice acts of service in your own home or wider community. Consider picking up trash in your neighborhood or community park, send letters to legislators, help a neighbor with yard work, donate food to your local food shelf, write positive chalk messages on your sidewalk, plant and take care of something in nature, etc.

June is PRIDE month! Join us on Sunday, June 15th for our 9:30am worship to celebrate our LGBTQIA+ siblings in our church, in our communities, and in our world. As a fully inclusive and affirming congregation, we are intentional about our welcome each and every week, though on this particular Sunday we'll celebrate Queerness in all its beauty with additional fanfare + general awesomeness (rainbow treats; resources; new stickers + flags to take home)! Does your Queer Christian friend, family member, or co–worker need a safe place to celebrate their belovedness during this month? An invitation to this gathering is a great opportunity to extend the table of God’s expansive love and say “Pull up a chair, dear one. You will always belong.”

If you're in town over Memorial Day weekend, the VerHage family is hosting the May Sunday Supper on May 25 at 5pm in their backyard in SE Mpls. They're planning a taco bar and make pitchers of sangria and lemonade. Bring a side dish to share if you're able. It'll be a lovely evening of conversation, food and general merriment! All ages are welcome. Signups are appreciated as they plan for numbers. Their address will be emailed out after you sign-up.
We'll gather on Tuesday,May 20 at 6:30pm in the Parlor at Elim for the Genesis Annual Meeting and Pie Social. Bring a pie to share, we'll provide punch, water and coffee. Childcare is not provided, but we will have some toys available in the room off the parlor for those that need it.
To support our move through the New Beginnings Fund, we're having a Genesis Bake Sale fundraiser on Sunday, May 18th after church. You can pre-order certain items here for pick up on 5/18 or delivery on 5/19. Otherwise plan to bring your baked goods to sell and your pocket money to buy from other Genesis folks. All proceeds support our move to RPUCC in July!

Please join us on Good Friday (April 18) for an interactive worship gathering of the Last Supper and the final moments in the life of Jesus. This contemplative service will take place from 6:30-7:30pm in the chapel, with readings, a eucharist feast, prayer, silence, and music as we walk with Jesus to the cross.

Join Pastor Kara on Thursdays from 6:30-8pm starting on March 13 for an exploration of formation practices focused on our shared Genesis values: simplicity, conversation, restoration, rhythm, delight, attentiveness and ordinariness. Join us for one or as many sessions as you'd like. Session offerings include: cultivating gratitude through guided journaling; exploring this season of your life with a compass exercise; engaging with our stories through the recipes that have shaped us; writing psalms of lament and crafting beaded prayer chains; and telling our stories through the music that moves us.
